Tax money should never go to any college, let alone a foreign student. It should go to trade schools. It should go to American citizens who want to raise themselves out of poverty. The colleges should have to suffer the consequences of racism and discrimination. They should have to suffer when they make it out of reach to go there and enrollment declines. Enough entitlement.

Joe, it’s important to take a look at Hillsdale College. They accept $0 dollars from the government. My Grandson, a Captain in the Marine Corps, graduated from Hillsdale College. He was a Merit Scholar recipient. Hillsdale College wouldn't honor it because it was a government "gift ". He graduated Magna Cum Laud with a double major. Other colleges could learn from this example.

WOW! Mary congrats to your grandson. That's quite the accomplishment. Based on what you and SKUPE are saying, it sounds like Hillsdale could serve as a model going forward for all colleges and universities.

Joe, now that you are a Michigander, plan a trip to Hillsdale College. Check out the tribute to honorable statues. One in particular is a statue of Fredrick Douglas. He spoke at Hillsdale College before the Civil War. When you think of Hillsdale College, they were light years ahead of the other colleges and universities. Also, notice the bricks that were placed in the walk. Donors paid $$$ for a tribute to their offspring.

It is well known that Chinese students (spies) are made to report everything they learn back to Communist China. Admission to American colleges and universities should be prohibited to any student on the terrorist country list. Better yet, a list of countries that hate the USA. Foreign students generally return to their homes, which does not benefit us. Those that stay here often have nefarious reasons.

Stop giving research grants to Harvard, or any other university, for developing bio-weapons, potential bio-weapons or "viruses". American taxpayers should not be funding any research that can kill, injure or sicken them.

Yank all of Harvard's federal funding. Yank all federal funding to private universities. Cut funding to all state-run universities. Funding higher education is not Constitutionally mandated.

It isn’t just Harvard:”59,000 Illegal Migrants are currently enrolled in Texas colleges and universities – and get this- they’re receiving in-state tuition, which is costing taxpayers in Texas more than $150 million each year.

The reason, is because the state picks up the bill for the difference a school charges for in-state and out of state tuition. Plus, the illegals are also receiving financial aid.

According to Middleton and FAIR in 2024 illegal migrants cost the Lonestar $13.4 billion overall – this includes benefits like free healthcare and housing - which equals out to cost each Taxpayer $4,466 a year.

Attorney General Ken Paxton said that in 2021 Texas spent $855 million each year on services for illegal migrants – showing that in the three years Joe Biden was president – that number ballooned to more than $13 billion.” And Texas is supposed to be a Red State

I believe it’s time to end all federal funding to educational institutions period. Federal money should be tied to the student, not the school. Let the free market determine which schools thrive and which fail because kids deserve better than what’s being offered now.

As a foreign student in a 1980s US college I paid triple the tuition than American students pay. Foreign students do pay their fair share. That's why universities in the USA and Canada want foreign students. They rake in a lot of

money in higher foreign student fees.

IMHO, I bet they all are ripping people off! They shouldn't receive a dime in federal money and should also lower the fees, substantially! That is AT LEAST until they change their views on certain subjects!
